IIMA MBA-PGPX Eligibility
The MBA-PGPX program is designed for experienced professionals with a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience. The following are the basic prerequisites for the PGPX application:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field. (A minimum of 15 years of study is required by the Indian school system, which is 10 + 2 + 3 or 4).
- Minimum age of 25 as of March 31, 2026 (born on or before March 31, 2001). There is no maximum age limit.
- A valid GMAT/GRE score (taken within the last 5 years). The earliest permissible GMAT/GRE test dates for the two rounds are: Round 1: September 8, 2020, and Round 2: November 24, 2020. The new GMAT Focus Edition exam results will also be accepted. Online GMAT/GRE (take-home) exam results are invalid; only test centre-based GMAT/GRE scores are valid.
- After graduation, you must have at least four years of full-time employment experience by March 31, 2026.

MBA-PGPX Admission Process
The admission to the PGPX 2026–27 batch will be conducted in two rounds. The selection process is rigorous and holistic. The candidates are evaluated based on:
- Standardized test scores (GMAT / GRE)
- Leadership profile
- Personal Interview
Stage 1: Shortlisting
Applicants are short-listed for the Personal Interview from among all eligible applications. Short-listed candidates are required to submit essays on specified topics within a given deadline.
Stage 2: Final Selection
Short-listed candidates appear for a Personal Interview. A panel of IIMA faculty members conducts interviews. The panel evaluates candidates on multiple parameters, including:

The final selection is based on the overall fitment of the candidate for the PGPX programme.
